Pesto

Total Time: 5 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons pine nuts
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups fresh basil
  • 5 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup olive oil

Recipe

  • 1 lightly toast pine nuts.
  • 2 in a food processor (or with a pestle and mortar), mix the basil, garlic, pine nuts and cheese into a paste.
  • 3 add oil and blend to a smooth paste.
  • 4 keep in an airtight jar in the fridge.
