Grits Casserole

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 cup hominy grits
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 garlic cheese rolls
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 cup cheese, grated

Recipe

  • 1 bring 3-1/2 c milk to boiling in medium saucepan.
  • 2 gradually stir in grits.
  • 3 gook over medium heat , stirring constantly, until thick (about 10 minutes).
  • 4 remove from heat.
  • 5 add butter and garlic cheese; stir until melted.
  • 6 stir in eggs and remaining milk.
  • 7 pour into 2 quart casserole.
  • 8 bake in preheated 375 degree oven uncovered for 30 minutes.
  • 9 sprinkle grated cheese over top.
  • 10 bake 15 minutes longer.
