Mashed Rutabega

Ingredients
- 1 (1 1/2 lb) rutabagas
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Recipe
- 1 1. peel rutabega with vegetable peeler and cut into small cubes, about 1/2" or smaller.
- 2 2. boil rutabega cubes for approximately 15-20 minutes. the time may vary based on size of pieces. they are done when easily poked with a fork.
- 3 3. drain rutabega and mash with potato masher with all other ingredients. a food processor works great if you have one.
