ranch beans

Total Time: 3 hrs 5 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 3 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb dry pinto beans, soaked overnight
  • 1 quart water
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 cloves chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 -3 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon marjoram

Recipe

  • 1 drain the soaked beans, return to the pot add 1 quart of water, bring to a boil lower to simmer, cover, cook 1 1/2 hours.
  • 2 add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil, cover, lower heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hrs more.
