Homemade Ketchup

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1/2 onion, cut into large chunks
  • 2 cups roma tomatoes
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce, reduced sodium
  • 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Recipe

  • 1 place all of the ingredients except the olive oil in a food processor and process until smooth.
  • 2 heat a small pan over medium heat.
  • 3 add in olive oil and heat.
  • 4 add in remaining ingredients and stir well.
  • 5 continue to cook on medium heat until sauce has thickened to consistency of ketchup and reduced by half.
  • 6 remove from heat and chill.
