Parmesan Almonds

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon italian herb seasoning
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 cups natural whole almonds

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325f.
  • 2 in small bowl, mix all ingredients except egg whites and almonds set aside.
  • 3 in large bowl, whisk egg whites until they begin to form soft peaks and are opaque.
  • 4 add almonds and toss to coat.
  • 5 add cheese mixture and toss gently to coat evenly.
  • 6 oil or coat a baking sheet with vegetable cook spray.
  • 7 arrange almonds on baking sheet in single layer.
  • 8 bake in center of oven for 15 minutes.
  • 9 gently toss almonds and arrange again in single layer.
  • 10 continue to bake for 15 minutes longer; toss gently.
  • 11 turn off oven.
  • 12 leave almonds in oven with door ajar for 20 minutes.
  • 13 remove from oven and cool completely.
