Jeff Ward's Mushroom Pate

Ingredients

- 1 lb mushroom, chopped
- 1/2 cup butter
- pepper
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons brandy (optional) or 2 tablespoons cognac (optional)
- minced garlic (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon tarragon (optional)
Recipe
- 1 saute mushrooms in butter with pepper and optional ingredients for 20 mins until dry.
- 2 chop up cream cheese and add to mushrooms.
- 3 keep mixing over medium heat until well blended.
- 4 turn into baking dish and bake in 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes.
- 5 serve with crackers or thinly sliced baguette.
