Jeff Ward's Mushroom Pate

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 lb mushroom, chopped
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • pepper
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons brandy (optional) or 2 tablespoons cognac (optional)
  • minced garlic (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon tarragon (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 saute mushrooms in butter with pepper and optional ingredients for 20 mins until dry.
  • 2 chop up cream cheese and add to mushrooms.
  • 3 keep mixing over medium heat until well blended.
  • 4 turn into baking dish and bake in 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes.
  • 5 serve with crackers or thinly sliced baguette.
