Mussels In Garlic Sauce With Wine

Total Time: 12 mins Preparation Time: 7 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 lb mussels, cleaned
  • 1 onion, medium, chopped fine
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 chili peppers, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 cup dry wine
  • 1/4 cup basil leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup thickened cream

Recipe

  • 1 in a hot pan with a lid, add olive oil, onions, garlic, chilli and bay leaves.
  • 2 cook until onions and garlic are soft.
  • 3 turn heat to medium high.
  • 4 add mussels and wine. put on lid.
  • 5 after a few minutes without lifting lid, shake pot vigorously.
  • 6 turn heat to medium low and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • 7 remove lid and discard any unopened shells.
  • 8 stir through the basil and cream and garnish with chopped parsley.
