Mussels In Garlic Sauce With Wine

Ingredients

- 1 lb mussels, cleaned
- 1 onion, medium, chopped fine
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 chili peppers, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 cup dry wine
- 1/4 cup basil leaves, chopped
- 1/2 cup thickened cream
Recipe
- 1 in a hot pan with a lid, add olive oil, onions, garlic, chilli and bay leaves.
- 2 cook until onions and garlic are soft.
- 3 turn heat to medium high.
- 4 add mussels and wine. put on lid.
- 5 after a few minutes without lifting lid, shake pot vigorously.
- 6 turn heat to medium low and simmer for 5 minutes.
- 7 remove lid and discard any unopened shells.
- 8 stir through the basil and cream and garnish with chopped parsley.
