Spinach-cheese Triangles

Ingredients
- 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
- 1 (8 ounce) package feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 large onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 5 tablespoons margarine or 5 tablespoons butter
- 18 sheets phyllo dough, thawed
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
- 2 in skillet over medium-high heat, heat 1 tablespoon margarine.
- 3 add onion and cook until tender.
- 4 add spinach and cook 4 minutes or until liquid evaporates.
- 5 remove from heat.
- 6 stir in feta cheese, cream cheese, egg and garlic powder.
- 7 in cup melt remaining margarine.
- 8 unfold dough.
- 9 remove 2 dough sheets leaving the remaining covered.
- 10 brush with margarine.
- 11 repeat with 4 more dough sheets stacking each on top of the previous sheet.
- 12 repeat with remaining sheet making three stacks in all.
- 13 cut each stack crosswise into 5 (about three inch) strips.
- 14 place about 2 tablespoons spinach mixture at the end of each strip.
- 15 fold each corner of strip over spinach mixture to form a triangle.
- 16 fold triangle over toward strip.
- 17 continue folding until the entire strip is folded into a triangle.
- 18 place on greased baking sheet.
- 19 brush with margarine.
- 20 bake for 20 minutes or until golden.
