Mini Fried Pizza

Total Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon dry active yeast
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/3 cup warm water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • 425 g whole tomatoes, can
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 dash salt

Recipe

  • 1 in a measuring cup or small bowl, dissolve sugar& yeast in water.wait for 10 minutes or until it gets all foamy.
  • 2 combine flour, and salt in a large bowl and make a well in the center.
  • 3 pour the yeast and the olive oil.
  • 4 knead for 6-8 minutes until you have a moderately stiff dough that is smooth and elastic (add a bit more flour if you need to).
  • 5 put the dough in greasy bowl; cover and let rest for 1 houre.
  • 6 divide the dough into 16 ball.
  • 7 pat each dough with your hand.
  • 8 fry each pizza in a deep oil until become brown.
  • 9 add the sauce in top of each pizza.
  • 10 sprinkle with cheese, bake 350 degrees f.
  • 11 for sauce:.
  • 12 crush the tomato.
  • 13 combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.
  • 14 cook over medium heat until sauce starts to boil.
  • 15 lower heat and simmer, covered,for 30 to 45 minutes or until it is as thick as you like it.
