New Year's Eve Black-eyed Peas

Ingredients
- Servings: 12
- 12 ounces black-eyed peas (dry)
- 8 cups water (see recipe instructions)
- 1 ham bone (with a little bit of ham left on)
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1/2 cup pickled jalapeno pepper (chopped finely)
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 place ham bone in a crock pot.
- 2 cover with black eyed peas.
- 3 cover with water. (you will need to have about 3 inches of water above the peas).
- 4 add seasonings and jalapenos.
- 5 cook on low heat 8-10 hours.
