Pizza Dough

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 45 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups warm water (110 degrees f)
  • 4 teaspoons dry active yeast
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 5 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 whisk yeast into warm water and let sit 10 minutes.
  • 2 blend all dry ingredients in mixing bowl.
  • 3 add olive oil and water/yeast mix into dry ingredients.
  • 4 mix to a stiff dough.
  • 5 cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  • 6 punch down and cut into 2 equal portions.
  • 7 round, cover and let rest 5 more minutes.
  • 8 flatten by hand or with a rolling pin on a floured surface.
  • 9 transfer to a pizza pan or screen.
  • 10 top with whatever sauce, cheese and toppings that you like.
  • 11 bake in a 425 degree oven for about 23 minutes.
