Mushroom Yam Sautee

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 yam
  • 2 cups mushrooms, any kind
  • 1/2 small onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1 pinch garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon red wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • water

Recipe

  • 1 wash and slice mushrooms. dice onion. cut yam into 1-inch pieces. place mushrooms and onions in a pan sprayed with pam, cover, and sautee over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes. add all spices and reduce heat to low-medium. add the yam pieces and cook 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally and adding a little water if it gets too dry. cook until the yam is just getting tender and all of it is moist but not watery.
