Pinto Beans

Total Time: 1 hr 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1/2 lb dry pinto beans
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable bouillon granules
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 soak beans overnight in water.
  • 2 drain and rinse bean in a colander.
  • 3 in a heavy pan, combine all ingredients.
  • 4 being to a boil, cover and reduce heat.
  • 5 simmer 1 1/2 hours, or until beans are tender.
