sweet plantain

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 ripe (yellow) plantains, peeled and cut into 1/8-inch slices
  • 3 tablespoons white

    Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins Ready Time: 15 mins

  • mix paprika, thyme, oregano, garlic powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and salt in a bowl. add plantain slices to spice mixture and turn to coat.
  • heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. cook plantains in skillet until softened, 1 to 2 minutes per side. pour into the skillet. bring to a boil and simmer until cooks off, about 5 minutes.
