Sauted Asparagus With Mushrooms

Ingredients

- 1 bunch asparagus
- 1 large shallot
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup butter
- 8 ounces shiitake mushrooms or 8 ounces baby portabello mushrooms
- salt
- pepper
Recipe
- 1 dice the shallot.
- 2 dice the garlic.
- 3 cut the woody tips off of the asparagus.
- 4 bring a pot of water to a boil.
- 5 boil the asparagus for 4 minutes.
- 6 drain the asparagus.
- 7 stop the cooking process by pouring cold water over the asparagus.
- 8 melt the butter.
- 9 saute the shallot and garlic.
- 10 add the mushrooms and saute for 5 minutes.
- 11 add the asparagus.
- 12 season with salt and pepper.
- 13 let saute on low for 5 minutes.
- 14 serve immediately,.
